Categories and Sources of Personal Data, Purpose, and Legal Basis of Processing

  • Browsing data, cookies, and other tracking systems: The IT systems and software procedures used to operate this website acquire, during normal operation, certain personal data whose transmission is implicit in Internet communication protocols. This category of data includes, for example, IP addresses or domain names of the computers and terminals used by users, URI/URL addresses, the time of requests, the method used in submitting requests to the server, the numeric code indicating the server’s response status (success, error, etc.), and other parameters related to the user's operating system and computing environment. This data, necessary for the use of web services, is processed for the technical management of the website, to collect analytical data on traffic, obtain statistical information on service usage, and monitor proper functionality.

  • Additional data not acquired directly from the data subject: Full name, certified email (PEC)/email, and tax code (C.F.) of Digital Transition Managers (RTD), acquired from the IPA - Index of Digital Addresses of Public Administrations and Public Service Providers, managed by AGID. Personal data is processed to facilitate the completion of the accessibility declaration and to subscribe to the Design Guidelines.

  • Data provided by the user:

    • For feedback mechanisms on websites and applications owned by AGID: full name, tax code, email;
    • For support requests: full name (optional) and email.

Providing feedback, support requests, and messages to contact addresses involves the collection of personal data voluntarily provided by the sender. Personal data is processed to manage related communications.

The legal basis for processing is the execution of public interest tasks assigned to AGID, particularly under Article 3-quinquies of Law 4/2004, the Three-Year Plan for IT in Public Administration, and Article 14-bis of Legislative Decree 82/2005, the Digital Administration Code (CAD).

Categories of Personal Data Recipients

AGID processes personal data independently through its staff. Technical and telematic service providers designated as data processors also receive personal data. AGID does not transfer any personal data to third countries or international organizations.

Personal Data Retention Period

Browsing data is retained for 26 months for Google Analytics and 1 year for Hotjar and application logs. Personal data provided by users is stored for 3 years or, in any case, until the monitoring report is sent to the European Commission under Article 8, paragraph 4, of EU Directive 2016/2102.

User Rights

Users have the right to request access to their personal data from AGID, as well as to correct or delete it, limit processing, object to it, and data portability, where applicable. Without prejudice to any other administrative or judicial recourse, users have the right to lodge a complaint with the Garante per la protezione dei dati personali if they believe their data has been processed in violation of the Regulation. AGID ensures that no automated decision-making, which may have legal effects on the user, is applied.
